All-Out Attack From Folland, Vows Boss

Returning Folland Sports boss Danny Bowers has pledged to go for all-out attack this season in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.

Although he took a step back to manage the Planemakers' under-14s last term, Bowers (pictured) kept a close eye on the Sydenhams Premier title race and concluded that he who dares wins.

Now, having added Sholing's Daniel Mason and former Andover and Gosport forward/wideman Mike Turvey to his attacking armoury, he plans to play with three up front in every game.

"We're going to have a go at people," he promised.

"What's clear to me is that the teams scoring most goals are winning the league.

"We've brought young Daniel in from Sholing and, at 18, he looks a real prospect.

"Richard Gregory scored 14 goals in the last ten games of last season and has revived our frontline and we've still got Alex Sheath.

"I've also signed Mike Turvey who was at Andover with me in the Southern League.

"After leaving Andover he went to Gosport with Mick Catlin and became one of Alex Pike's regular eleven, but he got an injury and then helped out Hayling United last season.

"He's 24, but he must have 200 Southern League games behind him. He plays out wide and is in the mould of Rory Williams who left us last season for Gosport."
