Beautyman Stays With Sutton After All

Harry Beautyman has pledged his immediate future to Conference South club Sutton United.

The midfielder (pictured), who ended last season in top form and won himself an England 'C' cap in the fixture away to Bermuda, had been hoping that he had done enough to catch the eye of the scouts and earn a return to the Football League, having been at Leyton Orient before he joined United two years ago.

But despite trials with several Conference Premier clubs, no suitable offer to go full-time has come in from a League club.

Boss Paul Doswell is delighted to have Beautyman back in the frame. He said: "Harry was really hoping for a Football League move and unfortunately the right move hasn't materialised at this time and, having assessed his options, Harry has recognised that his best opportunities reside with being at Sutton.

"He has done well for me over the last two seasons, not many midfielders virtually guarantee ten goals per season. If he does well, the team will be doing well and he is still young enough to make his way in the game.

"This club will never stand in the way of a player who has a chance of a professional career but at the same time it's good to have Harry as part of my plans."
