Boston United into drop zone but Murray says he can turn it around

Adam Murray insists he has the backing of chairman David Newton and his players after Boston United tumbled into the relegation zone.

The pressure on Murray increased on Saturday as the Pilgrims suffered their seventh defeat in eight games with a 2-1 reverse at Curzon Ashton.

Despite his side's plunge down the table, Murray says if the club was to change managers at this stage of the season it would be a negative move and believes his players can lift the club back up the table.

"I believe 100 per cent that I can turn things around," said Murray. "I have had a good long chat with the chairman and he is also confident we are on the right track.

"Sometimes it's all about seeing it through the hard times and coming out the other side. It might take 12 months to get to where we want to be but we started with a blank canvas and it will take time.

"I believe the chairman and the board have total confidence in the work we are doing and in our method. It is such fine margins."
