City Duo Could Miss Start Of Season

Gary Roberts, manager of Calor League Premier Division club Cambridge City, could be without key players Louis Lee and David Prada when the new season starts next month.

The Cambridge City boss signed Lee (pictured) from Hitchin Town at the end of last season but the midfielder has had to undergo keyhole surgery after a recurrence of a knee injury he sustained while with the Canaries.

Prada is currently away in his native Spain working and will not be back until the end of August.

"It's not ideal," said Roberts.

"With Louis it's been about cleaning up after his injury which didn't heal properly when he was at Hitchin and it will be touch and go as to whether he's ready for the start of the season.

"It may be the end of August or the beginning of September before he's ready."
