Ex-Nuneaton Town assistant thinks Ginnelly is the man for Boro

Appointing Jimmy Ginnelly as manager of Nuneaton Town would help 'reconnect' the town with the club.

That is the view of former Boro assistant boss Ron Bradbury – who added his voice to the growing support within the town calling for Ginnelly to succeed Tommy Wright at the LDJ Stadium.

"A few years ago I would have said no, Jimmy is not right for the Boro job," said Bradbury, who had two spells as assistant manager at the Boro.

"Maybe tactically he would have been lacking at that level. But Jimmy has served his apprenticeship.

"He started off in the Sunday Leagues and had great success, he did brilliantly at Atherstone Town and now he is doing well with Barwell in what is a very, very tough, competitive league.

"I go and watch Barwell quite often and I see what he is doing there. He's managed to bring funds in and build a side. He's doing an excellent job."
