Housham Glad To See Barraclough On Target

Bradley Barraclough's goal against Sheffield Wednesday will boost the striker's confidence ahead of the new season, says Conference North club Gainsborough Trinity's boss Steve Housham.

Barraclough's second-half strike on Friday evening was the only goal of the game against a talented Sheffield Wednesday XI, but it was the performance more than the result that the Trinity boss was looking for.

"It's all about getting in to the right habits," said Housham (pictured).

"I'm not just talking about the team getting into a winning habit, but the individual players doing the right things.

"It's great that Brad (Barraclough) has only taken two games to get a goal.

"Scoring goals is the best habit to get into for a striker, it would be great to see Mark Jones get off the mark as well, because that would boost his confidence."
