Malmesbury Boss Keen to Secure Squad

Gareth Davies, manager of Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One West club Malmesbury Victoria, wants to snap up a large chunk of his 2013/14 squad tomorrow night.

The club have got no one signed for the upcoming campaign as yet, but the new manager is confident he will have multiple players confirmed imminently.

Central midfielder Luke Cordery is one of the players whose future is unclear as he has been training with Swindon Supermarine.

Vics’ first friendly is at Wiltshire League outfit Marlborough on Saturday and Davies (pictured) said: “I’m hoping we can get most or all of them done on Thursday night, that’s the plan anyway.

“We had 15 or 16 blokes at training last time and three or four away that will be in the squad for Saturday.

“All the foundations have been laid and once you get one or two, it tends to go from there.”
