Salisbury To Unveil Player-Assistant Boss

Conference Premier club Salisbury City have agreed a deal with an ex-international player to become Mikey Harris' number two.

The player, who also possesses the 'UEFA A' licence coaching badge, will be introduced to the fans at today's friendly against Torquay at the Ray Mac.

Harris told the club's official website: "I have been working on a couple of deals for a week or so now and the crucial appointment was my number two. I am delighted to be able to bring a player of this calibre to the football club and it shows real ambition from the board."

Harris has urged Whites fans to turn out in their numbers to welcome the new player-assistant, and to support what will be a strong first team line up.

"It would be fantastic to get a good crowd for (today's) game, the first at the Ray Mac since our incredible play-off final victory. It's always difficult for Non-League clubs with cash flow in the off season and we are no different. Every person helps so come down to the Ray Mac for what should be a fantastic game against League opposition."

Harris (pictured) added that he hopes to add another player to the squad at the start of next week.
