U's Youngsters Set For Loan Experience

Richard Money plans to send Conference Premier club Cambridge United's youngsters out on loan to gain experience next season.

Liam Hurst, Bobby-Joe Taylor and Luke Allen all look set to leave United on a temporary basis once the season starts to ensure they play regular football with chances expected to be limited for the youth team products next term.

Head coach Money (pictured) felt it could be in the best interests of the trio to go elsewhere to get minutes under their belt at suitable clubs.

It follows Blaine Hudson's season-long loan move to Welling to allow the centre-half to develop.

He said: "There are a few youngsters that will definitely go out on loan at some stage and I think with Liam Hurst and Bobby-Joe Taylor it's the next part of their development.

"Those two definitely need six months' football somewhere else.

"With Luke Allen, we've got to see where he sits because we've got (Tom) Champion, (Ryan)
Donaldson, (Liam) Hughes and (Luke) Berry.

"We're aware he was playing a level or two below with Cambridge City last season and he was
playing out of position wide right rather than centre of midfield.

"But we've got to see how much football Luke is going to play because it's of no benefit to him training with us and not playing on a Saturday.

"I'm not going to say what will happen, but it might be we see where we are when pre-season
progresses and we'll decide if that's going to be the case and look then at where he goes."
