Wright: Quakers signings won't be rushed

Tommy Wright's first game at the helm saw Darlington make errors that contributed to defeat at Blyth Spartans, but the new manager is adamant he will not rush into bolstering the squad with new players.

Gary Brown remains absent due to the effects of concussion two months ago, while centre-back Dom Collins, who has been a solid presence all season, limped off at half-time with a foot injury.

Darlington led 1-0 at the time, but 45 minutes later Blyth had won 3-1, with Quakers having made costly mistakes.

"There have been a lot of people around me telling me what areas they think we're weak in. I need to reflect on that," said Wright.

"I want to win games and if I feel I can strengthen the group then that's what we'll do.

"But there won't be rash signings, they'll be calculated and thought out. I'll make sure they're the right fit."
