Ainsley Brothers United at Lowestoft

Supporters of Ryman League Premier Division club Lowestoft Town will be seeing double from now on, after Jack Ainsley joined his brother Stuart at the Crown Meadow.

Ainsley, 22, has agreed a two-year deal with the Blues after being released by Ipswich Town at the end of the 2012/13 season.

After featuring at international level for England Under-17s, Ainsley (pictured) went on to sign a professional contract with Ipswich Town in June 2009. While at Ipswich he played for the reserves under Mark Kennedy, and also featured for the first team in league and league cup action.

During his time at Ipswich, he went on loan to a couple of clubs, with his most recent loan being at Conference South side Chelmsford City in February 2013.

After joining on an initial one-month loan deal, the loan was extended until the end of the season with Ainsley making 17 appearances for the Clarets, including both legs of their play-off semi-final against Salisbury City.

As a youngster, Ainsley started out as a striker but since playing at a higher level he's proved to be a versatile player and has featured in defence for some of the sides he's played for.
