Foreman And Piper Boost For Rebels

Ryman League Division One South club Worthing are set to add forward Fred Foreman to their new-look squad.

The former Burgess Hill and East Preston player, the son of former Rebel, Kevin, impressed joint manager Kieran Collins in Rebels' first pre-season friendly, a 4-1 win against Lancing last Saturday.

Full-back Matt Piper (pictured), who was out for the whole of last season through injury, has been cleared to play again and has also pledged his future to Worthing.

Collins said: "Fred's come from Burgess Hill and he used to be with Albion as a young lad. We have had a long chat and he has impressed us and says he wants to come here for the right reasons.

"Matt's a brilliant right-back and has finally had his condition diagnosed as Gilmore's Groin, but he's clear to play and he will be signing."
