Forest Green Move For Kelly

Marcus Kelly has signed for Conference Premier club Forest Green Rovers on a one-year deal after impressing the management while on trial.

The 27-year-old arrived three weeks ago and immediately showed his class in the three friendlies - including Friday's 2-0 win over League One side Swindon Town.

Kelly (pictured) made 35 league appearances for Tamworth last season and scored a hat-trick against Lincoln City in the first round of the FA Trophy.

The midfielder said: "I've been really impressed with the way the club is run, the facilities, the training, nutrition.

"It's great to sign for a club with a stable squad that will be pushing for promotion. There is lots of competition for places, hopefully I can contribute."

Before Tamworth, Kelly played 84 times for Kettering Town over two and a half seasons, and featured for Rushden & Diamonds 157 times.
