Hampton Move For Rocastle

Ryman League Premier Division club Hampton & Richmond Borough have confirmed their latest signing ahead of the coming season - striker Jordan Rocastle.

The 21-year-old is a fast-moving frontman, and boasts an impressive goal tally wherever he has been. He made his Beavers debut last Saturday, scoring twice in the win against Chertsey Town.

Rocastle has played at Diss Town (scoring 26 goals in 2011-12), Norwich United and Wroxham, where he netted 10 goals in 13 appearances last season, before joining Dereham Town in March 2012.

He is a former England Schoolboy international, and has also been called up to the England Colleges team as a teenager.

He is the nephew of the late Arsenal legend David Rocastle, who also played for Chelsea, Leeds United and Manchester City, while winning 14 England caps.

"Skilfull, and with an eye for goal, Jordan is going to be an exciting prospect at Beveree Stadium, and if he lives up to his comparisons to Jermain Defoe, Hampton fans could be in for a treat this season!" read a club statement.
