Hand Signs for Stockport

Jamie Hand has officially signed for Conference North club Stockport County.

The 29-year-old former England Under-19 international will add to the ever expanding County midfield.

Fans got the chance to see their new man in action earlier this week against Sheffield Wednesday in the second half.

Hand (pictured) started his career as a trainee at Watford where he was loaned out to Oxford United, Livingston and Peterborough United, before playing for a number of clubs including Chester City, Lincoln City, Ebbsfleet and Hayes & Yeading.

Last season he was on loan with Margate, while contracted to Conference Premier winners Mansfield Town.

Hand has spoken of his joy at signing for County, saying: "It's a big club, I spoke to the manager and was impressed with his views and I'm pleased to sign for County."

Hand believes that he is "a player that like to get on the ball, pass it around and give 100 per cent effort with a desire to win".

He added: "I've enjoyed my time so far and I think the manager is putting together a great squad."
