Hinksey Secure Three-Man Strike Force

Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East club AFC Hinksey have signed three of Oxford's hottest strikers in Anaclet Odhiambo, Jack Dunmall and Ryan Curtin.

Odhiambo (pictured) was the Hellenic League top goal scorer in Division One East last season for Hinksey, and Ryan Curtin was the Hellenic League Player of the Year for the 2012-13 season for Premier Division side Kidlington. Jack Dunmall chipped in with 22 goals for Kidlington last season including four against his new club in their Oxfordshire Senior Cup fixture. Goal scoring midfielder Denel Thomas has also put pen to paper and signed for Hinksey, so the club will not be short of goals.

"As a club we're looking to move forward and hope that the new signings we've bought in will push us on and put us in a place to compete for the league title. We're now at a ground where we can gain promotion and that is the club's main priority," said manager Kevin "Jock" McMahon.

"I expect the team to play attractive football to pull in a new crowd of fans as we have now moved to Abingdon Town and with our two new signings, Jack Dunmall and Ryan Curtin, along with last season's top goal scorer Anaclet Odhiambo re-signing we have a strike force that accumulated around 100 goals last season between them. Add the fact we have also got Denel Thomas, Julian McCalmon and Adam Doyle to stay our attacking options are also bolstered by some great centre midfield options."

Club secretary Stuart Parsons added: "I was told to expect some exciting news on the player front, and I believe these boys to be exactly that. Obviously I know what Ani is capable of in front of goal with him having been involved with the club on and off over the last few years, and was pleased to see him collect the division's Golden Boot in the last campaign.

"I've also watched Ryan play quite a bit over the last few years and think he is a very talented player, with a cultured left foot and an eye for goal. Denel Thomas was a great acquisition last season and I'm very pleased that he is back with us for another season and Jack got four past us last season and from what I've been told he is an exceptional talent to add to the squad. The signings the club are making surely must be a sign that we have the intent to challenge to be one of the sides vying for promotion at the end of the season."
