Hinksey Sign Experienced Keeper

Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East club AFC Hinksey have signed journeyman goalkeeper Jon Beames.

The vastly experienced keeper (pictured) started his career as a YTS player at Crystal Palace. He then went on to make over 400 Southern League appearances with spells at clubs including Slough Town, Beaconsfield SYCOB, Didcot Town, Abingdon United and Thatcham Town, along with Burnham, where he played in the first round proper of the FA Cup and the Southern League Play-Off final. His other previous Hellenic League Oxfordshire clubs include Milton United and Abingdon Town.

Hinksey have also captured the signature of former North Leigh, Old Woodstock Town and Kidlington player Ben Willoughby. He has been training with Hinksey throughout the closed season and has impressed in all three of the friendlies he has been involved in. Playing in a number of roles, he has been more than capable playing in each position and even scored in his first game.

Jelroy Constant has also signed again, this will be his third season with the club. The winger can also play up front and is a constant goal threat whether as the goal scorer or as a provider.
