Margate Swoop For Ademeno And Whitely

Ryman League Premier Division club Margate have officially announced the signing of Charles Ademeno, Warren Whitely and Richard Avery for the 2013/14 season.

Striker Ademeno (pictured), 24, whose previous clubs include Southend United, Bishop's Stortford, Cambridge United, Welling United, Rushden & Diamonds, Salisbury City, Crawley Town, Grimsby Town, AFC Wimbledon and Eastbourne Borough, has looked impressive during the pre-season campaign and his signing is a sure sign that the club mean business this season.

Joint manager Simon Osborn said: "Charles is a good signing with a great pedigree and will work well with the strikers that we already have at the club. But these kind of deals don't just happen by themselves, Keith Piper has been instrumental in bringing Charles to Hartsdown Park and has backed myself and Craig to make it possible. We are grateful for his backing and hope we can continue to move this great club forward together."

Also joining the ranks is skilful winger and frontman Warren Whitely. Whitely, 27, has previously worn the colours of Croydon, Three Bridges, Harrow Borough, Chelmsford City, Maidstone United and Bury Town, where he ended last season, and his signing is another coup for the management duo. Holloway said: "I am delighted to bring Warren to the club and he really adds an exciting dimension to our attacking options."

Also committing his future to the club is midfielder Richard Avery. Signed by Chris Kinnear in July 2011, the 27-year-old midfielder has been a key player during the last two campaigns despite being unfortunate with injuries. Avery's previous clubs include Dartford, Chatham Town and Thamesmead Town, and he has scored 10 times in 77 appearances for the Gate.
