Ravens Swoop for Dean and McAteer

Adam Stevens, manager of Evo-Stik League Division One South club Coalville Town, has taken his number of summer signings to five with the capture of Alex Dean from Bedworth United and Jamie McAteer from Barwell.

Dean is a right wing-back who started out at Nuneaton Griff before moving to Bedworth and then Nuneaton Town in the Conference North.

A return to Bedworth saw Dean play a key role in helping the Greenbacks to promotion from the Southern League Division One Central and last season he made 42 appearances in the Premier Division.

The 23-year-old will be linking up with former teammate and another of Coalville's summer signings, Mitchell Piggon.

McAteer (pictured) is a versatile defender who came to prominence at the heart of the Coventry Sphinx defence alongside current Raven Liam Kay.

McAteer's form with Sphinx earned him a move to Southern League Premier Division side Barwell last season for whom he went on to make 39 appearances. As well as Kay, McAteer has previously lined up alongside Callum Woodward and Jerome Murdock for Sphinx.
