Three More Join Godalming

Andy Hunt, manager of Calor League Division One South & West club Godalming Town, has announced three new signings ahead of the forthcoming season.

Richard Taylor, 31, returns to Godalming having previously captained the club under Chuck Martini, where he led the G's to a Ryman League Division One South Play-Off Final, and also lifted the Surrey Senior Cup for the first time in the club's history.

Tom Boyle, 23, and Justin Courtnage, 19, have also signed. Both goalkeepers, Boyle has spent the previous few seasons at Bognor Regis Town, whilst Courtnage joins from Alton Town.

Hunt (pictured) was delighted to announce the return of Taylor, saying: "It's been a great week for us. Having secured Broome, I'm now delighted to announce that Richard Taylor is returning to Godalming Town, and will be club captain. He missed last season due to an operation, but he's working hard in training and has shown desire to come back. His experience will be invaluable to us as we look to rebuild the team.

"We've also signed two good, young keepers who will provide good competition. Tom's 23 and has been at Bognor for the last few seasons, while Justin's only 19 and played last year at Alton Town in the Wessex League. Both have shown a great attitude in pre-season and have what it takes to be really good keepers at this level."
