200-UP FOR BLAKEMORE 30/12/2008
Charlie Blakemore will be in charge of his 200th league game for British Gas Business Southern League Division One Midlands club Chasetown when they bid to halt Leamington’s unbeaten start to the season on New Year’s Day.
Blakemore, who took over from Michael Rowe in February 2004 with the Scholars as mid-table also-rans in the Midland Alliance, has steered the club to the FA Cup Third Round and First Round, guided them to the Alliance title and took them into the play-offs in the Southern Midlands.
But the hunger is as great as ever. “I cannot believe where the time has gone!” said Blakemore (pictured). “We have had some great times recently and I can assure you we are working harder than ever to create some more.
“We have created many club records over the past few years and I am looking to break these records again in the future.”
