NOW URCHINS GO INTO ADMINISTRATION 20/05/2009
Ryman League Premier Division club AFC Hornchurch have applied for administration.
The courts sat and have agreed to the Urchins` application to go into administration.
This will mean the club will start the 2009/10 season on minus-ten points.
There is now a process of which any interested parties who want to buy the club out of administration can apply to the administrator to do so should the terms be favourable.
At present two groups could be interested in buying the club out.
A spokesman for the club said: “Obviously next season could be a struggle but it`s not an impossible situation and depending on who comes into the club, there is no reason why we cannot compete for at least a play-off place. But we will need to get behind the club like we did in the Eseex Senior League and ever since.”
