IT ALL HAPPENED AT THE NEW WINDMILL! 01/11/2009
In a restricted Zamaretto League Premier Division fixture list due to the FA Trophy on Saturday, Leamington found themselves 3-1 down at home by half time but fought back to level the scores before being reduced to ten-men after which Didcot Town scored twice to run out 5-3 winners.
The prolific Mark Bellingham gave the Brakes an 18th minute lead that the Railwaymen changed into a 3-1 deficit through Jordan Tabor and a Michael Bartley brace by the 39th minute.
Bellingham completed his hat trick to pull the home side back on terms just past the hour-mark, but debutant defender Dale Peckham was shown a straight red card for a `professional` foul and Didcot took full advantage to score through Bartley again – the second hat trick of the day – and Ian Sampson.
Hemel Hempstead Town gained revenge for their recent 1-0 defeat at Swindon Supermarine when they defeated their visitors 3-1 and leap-frogged them in the table.
Ryan Blake put the Tudors ahead after 25 minutes and Clark Akers added a second 6 minutes later.
Joe Harris reduced the arrears 23 minutes from time but Akers` second 4 minutes from time made the game safe for the hosts.
Merthyr Tydfil conceded a goal in each half to lose 2-0 at home to Halesowen Town, for whom the league`s top scorer, Stefan Moore (pictured) bagged another brace in the 35th and 61st minutes.
