BETHNAL GREEN KEEP IN TITLE HUNT 26/01/2010
Bethnal Green United won back-to-back games last week which put them third in the Essex Senior League and with a real chance of challenging for the title.
Last Wednesday against Tiptree United was Bethnal Green`s first game since December 12th 2009 and manager Justin Gardner (pictured) was worried about his team`s fitness levels.
However, most of the players kept themselves fit during the terrible weather that forced so many games to be cancelled.
On Wednesday Bethnal where losing 2-1 to Tiptree with 5 minutes remaining, and in-form striker Anton Stephenson equalised on 85 minutes and then Marlon Boeteng won the game for the East London outfit.
They then followed that up with a 3-0 win lastSaturday over Mauritius Sports with Gardner giving special praise for Kada Jama, who is starting to find his best form again.
The next four or five games will be vital for Bethnal to pick up maximum points if they are to stay in the title hunt.
