SKEM GO FOURTH 27/01/2010
Skelmersdale United moved into fourth place in the UniBond League Division One North on Tuesday night, but Leigh Genesis missed the opportunity of putting further pressure on the top five after being held at Warrington Town.
Genesis were held to a goalless draw at Cantilever Park, but Skem scored after 15 minutes through Chris Almond at home against Bamber Bridge.
However, Martin Moran equalised 20 minutes from time and a point looked likely until Kevin Towey restored Skem`s lead 7 minutes from time and then Carl Ledsham made sure with a third in stoppage time.
In the other game played on Tuesday, fourth-bottom Ossett Albion were beaten 2-0 at Dimple Wells by AFC Fylde, whose goals came from Matt Kay after 68 minutes and Joe Booth (pictured) 6 minutes from time.
