FTL FUTBOL HELLENIC LEAGUE ROUND-UP 31/01/2010
Ascot United’s worrying FTL Futbol Hellenic League Premier Division form was boosted by a well earned 2-2 draw with Oxford City Nomads on Saturday.
The Nomads were quickly into their stride, scoring twice through an own goal and Tommy Hayday. But second half efforts from Andy Lunn and Jeff Lamb saved the day for the Berkshire outfit.

Winterbourne United’s unravelling season continued with a 1-0 loss at the hands of Wootton Bassett Town. The game was settled by Matty Bown’s first half effort.
In Division One East, Chinnor hosted league leaders Wokingham & Emmbrook and after going behind to Rich Bland’s second half effort, did well to rescue a point with Gary Marshall’s late reply.
Struggling Didcot Town Reserves lost out to Finchampstead in front of the lowest gate of the day after second half efforts from Junior Arquimbau and Pat Selby.
Eton Wick were turned over by Chalfont Wasps, who scored through Fred Trip, James Felstead and Liam O’Neill.
Holyport’s Arron Lennon and Dan Rapley wrapped up the points against South Kilburn with their second half efforts.
Woodley Town’s mini revival continued at Kintbury Rangers after a fine 6-1 win. With honours even at the break, thanks to Chris Hatton for the visitors and Paul Thomas for the home side, a second half drubbing ensued thanks to Jamie Fairchild, Luke Williams and a Carl Davies hat trick.
