SELBY LOOKING FOR NEW MANAGER 31/01/2010
KoolSport Northern Counties East League Premier Division club Selby Town are on the lookout for a new manager for next season.
At a meeting in the week, long-serving manager Bob Lyon informed the committee that he was resigning from the position would stay on till the club finds a replacement.
A spokesman said: "Bob has been very fair about it all and told us of his decision but does not want to leave us in the lurch and agreed to stay for the rest of the season to allow us time to find a new manager.
"Although we tried to change his mind we respect his decision and would like to thank him for the exceptional work he has put into Selby Town Football Club during his tenure."
Selby Town FC are inviting anyone who is interested in the post to forward their details and CV to the secretary: T. W. Arkley, c/o Selby Town FC, Richard Street, Selby, N. Yorks, YO8 4BN.
Closing date for applications is 28th February, 2010 and the club's committee have stressed that the post offers no remuneration.
