DAVENTRY SHARE IS A DONE DEAL 01/02/2010
Chairman Iain Humphrey has announced that Daventry Town's groundsharing plans with near-neighbours and Hereward Teamwear United Counties League Premier Division neighbours Daventry United "are a done deal!"
The Motormen will move to Communications Park at the start of next season after being given twelve months notice to quit the Royal Oak site by the Ford Motor Company.
Town's Saturday matches will take precedence, probably in the Zamaretto League, with United
expected to play midweek home matches on Wednesdays instead of the traditional Tuesdays.
Neither club is expected to field a reserve team.
UCL chairman John Weeks and vice-chairman George Whiting both attended the Town's recent FA Vase tie with Brimsdown Rovers at Enfield where they confirmed that the sharing arrangements had been agreed already by the league.
