PEARSON SCORES FIRST GOAL IN TEN YEARS! 01/02/2010
UniBond League Division One South club Shepshed Dynamo have re-signed striker Dave Pearson and he scored on his return to the Dovecote on Saturday – ten years after his last goal for the club.
Pearson`s last club in England was Rugby Town, with whom he was in his third spell after signing from Woodford United in November 2007.
He returned to Rugby for his second spell at Butlin Road in the 2001/02 season and injected his pace and energy into performances.
He originally joined Valley in November 2000 having previously played for Luton Town, Hereford United, Shepshed and Stratford Town. He departed to again pursue a professional career with a number of trials before eventually rejoining Rugby in 2001.
He followed former Rugby manager Tony Dobson to Solihull Borough in the close season of 2005 but after a spell with Woodford returned to Rugby.
He left the country in the 2009/10 pre-season to move to Spain to work.
Dynamo have also signed 18-year-old left-winger Elliott Atkin on `work experience`from Blue Square Premier side Mansfield Town.
Described as an `old fashioned` type of winger, he started out at Nottingham Forest before switching to the Stags` Academy.
