CHAMPIONS SIGN CHAMPION! 23/05/2010
Tony Burman, manager of Ryman League Premier Division champions Dartford, has is signed another Champion – 23-year-old central defender or midfielder Tom from new Blue Square Bet South rivals Braintree Town.
Champion signed for the Iron in January 2010 from league rivals Bishop`s Stortford.
He had been with the Blues since moving from Barnet in 2005 where made several first-team appearances.
Still only 23, Champion is equally at home in midfield. He played over 100 first-team games for the Woodside Park outfit and was part of the Stortford team that reached the semi finals of the Blue Square South play-offs in 2007.
Burman said: “Although Tom is quite young in age, he can offer us vast experience obtained playing at the level of Conference South.”
