DAVIDSON PUTS TOGETHER IMPRESSIVE BACKROOM STAFF
13/06/2003
Kenny Davidson, recently installed as manager of Eagle Bitter United Counties League club Wootton Blue Cross, has brought in the former Luton, Derby and Everton star, Alan Biley, as his assistant.

Biley was most recently in charge of Dr Martens League Eastern Division outfit Spalding United, but was one of five bosses used by the Tulips last season.

However, Biley has managed and coached in the UCL before as well as spells in America, Holland and Greece and a stint as assistant boss with Irish club Waterford United, and Davidson believes his knowledge and contacts will be vital.

Also moving into Weston Park is much-travelled former Buckingham Town, Berkhamsted Town, Marlow and Bedford Town striker Danny Nichols, who has been installed as the club's first-team coach.

Nichols, who spent three years in charge of Nationwide League club Northampton Town's under-21 side, is a UEFA 'A' licence holder, and the duo will be joined by 33-year-old player-coach Paul Bryant, who is also likely to form part of Wootton's defence for the new campaign.

Bryant (pictured), yet another to have managed Spalding for a short time last season when he actually took over from Biley, is a widely-travelled player who can number Wisbech Town, Stamford, Corby Town, Bury Town and King's Lynn amongst his previous clubs.
