SLADE BRINGS IN DONALDSON 23/08/2003
Russell Slade, manager of Nationwide Conference club Scarborough, has ended his search for a striker by signing Hull City's Clayton Donaldson.
Donaldson (pictured) has signed on a month’s loan from neighbours Hull City. The 6’ 1” Bradford-born striker has been at The Tigers since signing as a trainee a year ago. He spent three months on loan at UniBond League Premier Division side Harrogate Town last season.
His height and presence will be welcomed by Boro’s front line.
Slade is still rumoured to be seeking the loan signing of a promising young striker from a
Premiership club, as well as a highly-rated defender, although the loan details are
taking longer to finalise than initially hoped.
Slade said “Clayton should add some welcome physical presence to our side."
