BISHOP OUT - STANT IN AT ILKESTON 24/10/2003
Dr Martens League Western Division club Ilkeston Town have appointed Phil Stant as their new manager after Charlie Bishop left the club.
Bishop departure was hastened by a recent run of poor form and in particular Tuesday's lethargic performance against Stourport Swifts when Ilkeston lost 3-1.
Stant (pictured) was most recently player-manager at UniBond League Premier Division side Gainsborough Trinity and before that at Nationwide League Third Division Lincoln City and has played for numerous clubs including Notts County, Mansfield and Cardiff City.
Assistant-manager Phil Towle has also left as Stant is expected to bring in his own team of coaches.
