SHREWS FINALLY BAG DARBY 13/11/2003
Rushden & Diamonds' Duane Darby’s move to Nationwide Conference club Shrewsbury Town has finally been completed with the striker joining the Gay Meadow outfit immediately.
The fans favourite makes the move to Gay Meadow for an undisclosed five-figure fee after falling out of favour at Nene Park.
Darby (pictured) recently signed a two-year contract at Nene Park and despite injuries to Onandi Lowe, Paul Kitson and Robert Duffy; the striker has only played one game in the last four matches.
Darby joined Diamonds in June 2000 from Notts County. The former Hull City striker scored his 50th goal for the club in the recent 3-3 draw with Queens Park Rangers.
