STOMPOND LANE BECOMES HURDLE'S LATEST PORT OF CALL 28/01/2004
Ryman League Division One South club Walton & Hersham have become the latest stop on the well-travelled trip around the football scene for Barbados international defender Gus Hurdle.
The 30-year-old made over 80 League appearances for Brentford after starting his career with Fulham and also had a spell with Plymouth before turning non-League in 1998.
Since then he has taken in mainly short stops at Dorchester Town, Crawley Town, Dulwich Hamlet, St.Albans City, Basingstoke Town, Carshalton Athletic, Whyteleafe, Yeading, Molesey and, most recently, Egham Town.
Swans boss Ian Hazel has also transfer-listed former Woking and Fulham goalkeeper Tony Tucker due to the excellent form being shown this season by youngster Nick Gindre.
A highly-regarded ‘keeper, Tucker (pictured) joined Walton & Hersham, with whom he had enjoyed a loan spell during the 2002/03 season, on a permanent basis last July . He has now joined Premier Division side Hayes on a month’s loan.
