GREGAN BEGINS RECRUITING 10/12/2001
Frank Gregan, recently installed as manager of Dr Martens League Western Division club Weston-Super-Mare, has been busy recrutiing new players.
Top of the list is the arrival of the vastly experienced former West Ham, Celtic and Ipswich Town midfielder Stuart Slater (pictured), who re-joins Gregan for the third time, having played under him at both Forest Green Rovers and Aberystwyth Town.
Also joining from Gregan's last club Aberystwyth is highly-rated young goalkeeper Mark Bryant. The 24-year-old has been on trial with Second Division Queen's Park Rangers earlier this season.
Another experienced recruit is one-time Bristol Rovers, Walsall and Bath City forward Dave Mehew, who also had a spell with Gregan at Forest Green.
Defender John Miller has joined from Screwfix Direct Western Leaguers Frome Town, whilst midfielder Giles Harris has arrived on a month's loan from league rivals Cirencester Town with a view to a permanent transfer.
