SACKED CRICHTON JOINS RANGERS 21/09/2004
Nationwide North club Stafford Rangers had a new face in the starting line-up against Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday in goalkeeper Paul Crichton.
Crichton was sacked by Conference National side York City last week after becoming involved in an incident with supporters in a recent game.
The 35-year-old former Nottingham Forest, Grimsby, West Brom and Norwich keeper will provide additional cover until Will Smith, collapsed during the recent game against Redditch United, is fit again.
Player-manager Phil Robinson wnt with the more experienced Crichton (pictured) rather than ex-Hucknall Town and Notts County custodian James Lindley against Trinity.
