BILEY BACK AT KETTERING 02/02/2006
Alan Biley has left UniBond League First Division club Spalding United to rejoin Nationwide North side Kettering Town.
Things moved quickly for the Tulips' caretaker-manager after the Poppies sacked boss Kevin Wilson.
Biley (pictured), who left Kettering earlier this season, is returning to Rockingham Road as assistant to manager Morrell Mason.
Biley said: "I had a phone call from our chairman at 2pm on Wednesday.
"He said Kettering wanted to speak to me.
"I went there and took in a Reserve game and was there until 1am finalising things."
Biley, who took the Tulips from bottom of the table to seventeenth, said he was delighted to be rejoining Kettering but it was an unfortunate time to be leaving Spalding.
He said: "I go with a heavy heart because of what I'm leaving behind.
"Things were really starting to move in the right direction."
Tulips' press officer Ray Tucker said: "We're disappointed to lose such a good man but knew it was always a possibility."
With assistant-manager Andy Stanhope in plaster with a broken leg the Tulips are uncertain who will take care of the team for Saturday's trip to Woodley Sports.
