SHARPE RETURNS FOR ROSS 05/06/2006
UniBond League Division One club Bradford Park Avenue have announced the signing of Neil Ross.
West Bromwich-born Ross (pictured) stands at over 6ft and began as a trainee at Leeds United before moving on to Stockport County, Bristol Rovers and Macclesfield Town.
From the Moss Rose he had spells in the Nationwide Conference with Northwich Victoria, Tamworth and Halifax Town and then signed for Nationwide North side Alfreton Town for the 2005/06 season before arriving at the Avenue on loan in March 2006 as one of new manager Phil Sharpe’s first recruits.
Sharpe (pictured above) and assistant Clive Freeman have the backing of the board in bringing more quality players to the Horsfall Stadium and this important first signing indicates their determination to arrest the club’s descent down the leagues.
Ross said that he was full of praise for the management team and the fans that have made him so welcome since he arrived last March. He also felt he would be playing for two of the best coaches in the UniBond.
