FALLON BRINGS MURRAY HOME
31/08/2006
Steve Fallon, manager of Nationwide South club Histon, has secured the services of former Ipswich trainee Antonio Murray (pictured) from Scottish Premier League side Hibernian.

The 21-year-old decided to return to his native Cambridge and his family and friends, turning down offers from Wycombe and interest from other Coca-Cola League Two clubs.

"Players of Antonio's quality are rarely available on a free so when he approached us about training with us and then recently received a payout from Hibernian it allowed us to bring him in within our pay structure," Fallon (pictured above) said.

"We have an excellent squad now which we hope to hang onto but Antonio has seen most of our games this season so he knows the competition for places is hot and he will need to be on his game to break into the side.

“He is obviously keen to get back into the professional game but for now we hope to be able to give him a platform to rebuild his career on and at the same time help us progress to the next level."
