LINNETS SNAP UP BRABIN 13/11/2006
UniBond League Premier Division club Burscough have announced another major signing in the shape of the vastly-experienced and influential Gary Brabin from Nationwide Conference National neighbours Southport.
Linnet’s manager Liam Watson rates Brabin (pictured) very highly and believes him to be one of the best signings he has made during his managerial career.
Watson is especially pleased to have secured Brabin’s services ahead of several offers, some of them full-time, from other clubs.
Brabin`s signature re-affirms both Watson and the club’s commitment to providing a side capable of winning promotion at the earliest opportunity.
He joins an already impressive looking squad brimming with confidence having won seven consecutive games and a side laden with quality.
Brabin can play either central defence or midfield and lists a host of Football League clubs on his CV, including Blackpool, Bury, Hull and Torquay.
In his time within the professional ranks Brabin has commanded several transfer fees that when combined, add up to close on half a million.
Brabin’s quality and influence both on and off the field will benefit the club greatly as he combines his playing duties with assisting in the coaching at the club.
