HIBBITT SACKED 10/05/2002
Just a week after saying that he would be staying as manager of Dr Martens League Premier Division club Hednesford Town, former Wolves star Kenny Hibbitt and his assistant Barry Powell have been sacked.
Pitmen chairman Steve Price delivered the news on Thursday and it came completely out of the blue, especially considering that Hibbitt and Powell had managed to steer the club away from a second successive relegation.
It now seems on the cards that Ian Painter, who resigned as manager of Premier Division rivals Stafford Rangers last week, will be amongst the favourites to land the Keys Park post.
