TWO MORE FOR GRAYS
09/03/2007
Nationwide Conference National club Grays Athletic have signed former Plymouth defender Anthony Barness until the end of the season and Brentford striker Alex Rhodes on a seven-week loan.

Thirty-four-year-old Barness started his career at Charlton Athletic and signed for Chelsea where he spent from 1992-1996 during which time he was loaned to Middlesbrough and Southend.

He then rejoined Charlton in 1996 before moving to Bolton Wanderers in 2000 until 2005 when he signed for Plymouth Argyle.

However, he has made only two first-team appearances under Ian Holloway at Home Park this season.

Rhodes (pictured) scored the winning goal against AFC Bournemouth to secure Brentford`s safety from relegation on the last day of the 2003/04 season.

Rhodes joined Bournemouth from Ridgeons Leaguers Newmarket Town
