RANGERS STRENGTHEN 26/07/2007
Blue Square Premier club Stafford Rangers have completed their second signing of the summer with French defender Djoumin Sangare agreeing a move to Marston Road after being released by league rivals Grays Athletic at the end of last season.
The 23-year-old made his debut in Tuesday night’s defeat to Walsall after reaching an agreement with Rangers boss Phil Robinson.
Sangare played for both Grays and St Albans City last season. He has also played for French club Wasquehal, Redbridge, Chelmsford City and Lewes.
The 6` 1” defender can play at centre back or left back and becomes the second man this summer to put pen-to-paper on a Marston Road deal after Richard Sutton made his loan move permanent.
And manager Phil Robinson is now running the rule over a host of triallists, several of whom played in the 3-1 loss to the Saddlers.
They included Stafford old boy Jemiah Richards, the 21-year-old defender who has also played for Rushall Olympic.
Tom Ingram, who played for AFC Wallingford also got a run-out, along with former Stevenage Borough and Kettering Town midfielder Matt Fisher, who was with the now defunct Sutton Town last season.
Robinson is also taking a look at former Shrewsbury trainee Ross Draper.
