LAW CALLS FOR BUTLER 16/11/2007
Nicky Law, manager of Blue Square North club Alfreton Town, has signed vastly-experienced 6' 2'' centre back Tony Butler following his release by Blue Square Conference North rivals Hinckley United.
Butler (pictured), 35, has almost 500 Football League appearances with Blackpool, Port Vale, West Bromwich Albion and Bristol City and has commanded transfer fees totalling £495,000.
He also had a spell as club captain of Blue Square Premier Forest Green Rovers and had a loan spell with Blue Square South outfit Newport County before joining Hinckley in January 2007, initially on loan before earning a one-year deal.
