STARBUCK GOES AT HEDNESFORD
26/05/2008
UniBond League Premier Division club Hednesford Town has announced that manager Phil Starbuck has left with immediate effect.

The 39-year-old had been at Keys Park for just under two years, leaving the club after seventh and eighth place finishes in each of his two seasons at the helm of the club in the UniBond Premier.

He had voiced concerns over possible budget cuts for the 2008/09 season towards the end of last season, and uncertainty over the club's potential switch to the Southern League made bringing players in ahead of the new season problematic.

Despite this, Starbuck (pictured) had seemed geared up to another season at Keys Park, talking about pre-season opposition and a possible playing role for himself in the new season.

The club will release a statement with more detail on Tuesday, May 27th, and a further statement will be made afterwards.
