ONE IN - ONE OUT AT CELTIC 08/12/2008
Blue Square North club Stalybridge Celtic have announced the signing of Welsh semi-professional international Michael Byrne.
Byrne was released by Blue Square Premier side Northwich Victoria and has been at FA Cup heroes Forest Green Rovers recently, but he links up again with Steve Burr and went straight into the side for Saturday`s 3-3 draw at Gainsborough Trinity.
Byrne joined Northwich in February 2005 straight from the Stockport County Academy, and had a spell at Leigh RMI on loan whilst still at Edgeley Park.
He made eighty-four appearances for Northwich, scoring ten goals before switching to Rovers.
Meanwhile, Celtic`s former Gainsborough utility player Danny Wood (pictured), who scored his first goal for the club in the FA Trophy win at Whitby Town recently, has joined UniBond League Premier Division outfit Guiseley, initially on a month`s loan.
