ONE IN - ONE OUT AT WELLING 22/05/2009
Blue Square South club Welling United have signed right back Andy Sambrook.
The 29-year-old joins after being with AFC Wimbledon last season.
Sambook (pictured above) joined the Dons from Thurrock in January 2009 as cover for the injured Luke Garrard.
He started his career at Gillingham, making one League appearance in 1997, before moving to New York on a four-year sports scholarship.
He returned to England in 2001 and signed for Rushden & Diamonds, making over fifty starts in Leagues One and Two before transferring to Grays Athletic in the summer of 2005.
He appeared more than eighty times for Grays and was a member of their 2006 FA Trophy-winning side and won the chairman’s player of the year award for 2006/07.
He left last summer and joined Fisher Athletic, and then, in November, Thurrock.
Meanwhile, striker Loui Fazakerley (right) has left the Wings and re-joined league rivals Bromley.
Fazakerley has previously played for Fulham, Northampton, Farnborough Town, Sutton United and Eastbourne Borough.
