HAGGERTY SIGNS - HOLLIS NEXT? 15/07/2010
Blue Square Bet North club Eastwood Town have signed David Haggerty on a one-year deal – and are set to offer terms to Jermaine Hollis.
Former Rotherham defender and Ilkeston Town loanee Haggerty, 19, has impressed on trial.
One-time Eastwood academy right-winger Hollis (pictured), 23, who has played at Hucknall Town and Rainworth Miners Welfare, excelled in last Saturday's 1-0 win at Southport.
Should he secure the services of Hollis, manager Paul Cox expects to make no more signings before the season.
"David has agreed to join us and gives us versatility along the back line," said Cox. "Jermaine has thrown the cat among the pigeons because he has come in and looked hungry and sharp.
"We will probably sit down with the lad because he has shown he deserves a chance.
"I would never say never about bringing someone else in, but realistically the budget now says it's one in, one out."
