ADDERS` FORWARD GETS SHRIMPS` TRIAL 21/07/2010
npower League Two side Morecambe have brought in forward Stuart Hendrie on a two-week trial from Zamaretto League Division One Central club Atherstone Town.
Hendrie, who can play as a central attacker or a winger, is the younger brother of former England international Lee Hendrie and the 19-year-old has travelled to Morecambe with the blessing of Adders` manager Dale Belford.
"Stuart has been tremendous for me since I came here and played him up front - I can't speak highly enough of him," said Belford (pictured). "I hope everything goes well for him but even if it doesn't work out for him this time I'm sure it will soon.
"This is an example that there are players at our level good enough to play in the Football League.
"We are a club looking to bring young players on. We aren't in a position to pay out big money but we can offer good players a chance to progress."
